This 189 kW commercial solar project stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to driving sustainability and renewable energy adoption across the globe. Utilizing 342 of our state-of-the-art Atlas 550W solar panels, this installation not only supports the energy needs of local businesses but also contributes significantly to the reduction of carbon emissions in the region. This project marks another milestone in our journey to power the world with clean, efficient, and reliable solar energy.

Challenge

The project in Guatemala City was not without its challenges. One of the primary obstacles was the need to design a system that could efficiently harness solar energy within a densely populated urban area. The limited roof space available for installation required us to maximize the energy output from each solar panel, making efficiency and precision critical to the project’s success. Additionally, the varied weather conditions in Guatemala, including heavy rains and high humidity, posed a challenge to ensuring the longevity and durability of the installation.

Our Solution

To address these challenges, EGE employed a strategic approach centered around the advanced capabilities of the Atlas 550W solar panels. These high-efficiency modules are specifically designed to deliver superior performance, even in space-constrained environments, allowing us to optimize energy generation on limited rooftops. Our engineering team conducted thorough site assessments to determine the best placement and angles for the panels, ensuring maximum sun exposure throughout the day. Furthermore, we incorporated robust mounting systems and weather-resistant materials to safeguard the installation against the elements, thereby ensuring long-term durability and reliability.
