At Eco Green Energy, growth isn’t just measured by numbers — it’s seen in the progress of our people, the challenges we take on, and how we adapt together. This month, we’re proud to mark the 2-year anniversary of Thomas Bourgue, a team member whose journey reflects not only personal development but also Eco Green Energy’s broader evolution.
Since joining the company in 2023, Thomas has gone from focused sales professional to team manager, supporting our expansion into more technical, project-focused solutions. Originally from France, he’s based in China, where he continues to contribute across teams — and recently, welcomed a new personal milestone by starting a family.
A Bigger Mission Beyond Sales
Thomas began his EGE journey in international sales, working with distributors and clients across multiple markets. But from the start, he saw potential at Eco Green Energy; the potential — and the drive — to be more than just a solar panel supplier.
“A big milestone for the company was becoming closer to the end client,” he says.
“We didn’t want to just deliver products, we wanted to contribute to building real projects.”
That thinking led to the launch of EGE’s engineering office in France. With a dedicated technical team in place, the company could now provide support on system design, product matching, and hybrid configurations, offering direct answers to EPCs and installers working on complex systems.
“When clients ask detailed technical questions, it helps to know they’re speaking to real engineers,” Thomas explains. “It builds trust.”
Real Projects, Real Responsibility
This shift led to tangible outcomes. A major example is the solar project in Togo, one of the first handled directly by EGE’s internal teams.
“It was one of our first full-cycle projects,” says Thomas. “We we were 100% involved from early planning all the way through. It really proved what our team could handle. ”By taking on more technical responsibility, EGE could offer more complete solutions and respond better to the needs of EPCs, hybrid developers, and solar installers, especially in emerging markets where strong technical support makes a real difference.
Leadership & Learning
Around this time, Thomas stepped into a new role: Sales Manager.
“It wasn’t something I expected right away,” he says. “But I saw an opportunity to grow and help the team grow too.”
Managing a team added a new layer to his responsibilities: balancing performance, communication, and long-term goals while still maintaining his sales pipeline. Like many managers, he learned quickly that success in leadership is more about consistency and people skills than control.
“You can’t just focus on your own tasks anymore,” he reflects. “You have to help others succeed too. And that takes patience, support, and knowing when to step back.”
At Eco Green Energy, the trust to grow into that kind of role is something we value and Thomas has taken it on with humility and determination.
Shared Growth, Shared Vision
Today, Thomas continues to work across sales, strategy, and technical coordination. His journey matches Eco Green Energy’s own transformation: from a solar manufacturer to a more complete solar solutions partner, capable of supporting everything from diesel-solar hybrid designs to energy independence for commercial and industrial users.
“What motivates me is the direction we’re going in,” Thomas says. “We’re still a small company, but with clear goals and the space to try new things.”
Whether it’s developing new markets, refining technical materials with the engineering team, or collaborating on project delivery, Thomas brings a thoughtful and consistent approach to his work.
A Balanced Future
Alongside his professional growth, Thomas also recently welcomed a new chapter in his personal life, starting a family in China.
“It definitely adds some perspective,” he says with a smile. “Balancing work and life is always a challenge, but I’ve felt supported here. It makes a difference.”
As he enters his third year at Eco Green Energy, Thomas looks ahead with cautious optimism, and pride in what’s been built so far.
“There’s still a lot to do,” he says. “But I’m happy to be part of it.”
Congratulations, Thomas
