Eco Green Energy Supplies panels for 200kW Solar Project in Río Cuarto, Argentina

Commercial & Industrial

Discover how high-efficiency 550W solar panels can transform energy consumption for a commercial client, delivering significant savings and sustainability.

Introduction

In the heart of Río Cuarto, Argentina, a new 200kW C&I solar installation marks an important step of a medialunas manufacturer, into a greener production.

Challenge

PRIPAN, is a leading manufacturer of frozen bakery products. Specializing in iconic Argentinian goods, the factory produces high volumes of medialunas (a buttery croissant-like pastry), criollos, and more. As they put it: This project, powered by high-efficiency 550W solar panels from Eco Green Energy, is designed to reduce the bakery’s electricity bill by up to 80% in peak production months and 40-50% in others, showcasing a powerful model for sustainability in Argentina’s food manufacturing sector.

Navigating Energy Volatility

Bakeries like PRIPAN present a unique energy challenge due to their high-demand daytime production cycles. Operations rely on energy-intensive equipment, including large ovens, proofers, and mixers, alongside a constant need for refrigeration to maintain the cold chain for their frozen products. This creates significant peaks in energy consumption during daylight hours. Compounded by grid instability and volatile electricity costs in Argentina, the primary goal was to secure a reliable power source that could lower peak demand costs and ensure dependable performance year-round.
Our long-term partner Giacobone, an experienced EPC company, has come up with a customized solution for this project. It’s a company that has been developing and manufacturing renewable energy systems for over 40 years, and has completed more than 6,000 installations in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay.

Our Solution

Customized Engineering for Peak Performance

Our engineering team took the responsibility to design and produce the PV modules, centered around high-performance technology and strategic design. The selection of 550W high-efficiency modules was critical to maximizing energy output within the available roof area. The system’s string configuration and inverter sizing were carefully calibrated to the site’s specific consumption profile and local irradiance levels.
A robust operations and maintenance plan ensures the system’s resilience and long-term performance. This meticulous approach guarantees that the installation consistently meets its expected outcomes, covering a significant portion of the client’s energy needs and delivering predictable cost savings.

Conclusion: A Resilient and Cost-Effective Energy Future

This 200kW solar project in Río Cuarto stands as a powerful example of how businesses can achieve significant cost savings, reduce their carbon footprint, and enhance energy resilience. By harnessing solar power, the client has taken control of their energy costs in a volatile market.
