Eco Green Energy is proud to announce that a 300kW off-grid solar project has been successfully completed in Algeria. The project uses our advanced 585w Topcon double-sided panel to provide sustainable and reliable power to the base camp supporting the LPG plant. With partners Mokh Energy for the installation and purchase of panels from our trusted distributors Lagua Solaire, we have significantly reduced our reliance on diesel, reflecting our commitment to promoting green energy solutions in remote areas.
Challenge
The main challenge is ensuring that the camps have a reliable power supply. The camp is located in remote areas and the roads are not in good condition. Previously, it was powered exclusively by diesel generators. Due to frequent fuel deliveries, this poses security and logistical issues. In addition, the disconnected nature of the camp requires a strong and reliable power solution that can operate independently of the main power grid.
Our Solution
The hybrid system is now implemented at the base camp. Our topcon 585w double-sided panels can now meet 67% of the camp’s energy needs. The remaining 33% is supplied by diesel generators. The device, installed by mokh energy, ensures a continuous and reliable power supply. It considerably reduces the dependence on diesel. The transition to solar energy improves security by minimizing fuel transportation. It also promotes sustainable development by reducing carbon emissions.
The project showcases the potential of renewable energy in remote and offline areas. It provides a model for future initiatives aimed at replacing traditional fossil fuels with clean, green energy.
