Across Southeast Europe, more businesses and investors are turning to solar to take control of their energy costs. In Bulgaria, Eco Green Energy supplied EGE-570W-144N (GM10) TOPCon modules for a new 400 kW solar project, connected to the grid in 2026.
Eco Green Energy is no stranger to Bulgaria. In 2022, together with our official distributor KDCI-sun, we delivered 266 Helios Plus 450W modules for a 120 kW industrial solar installation on a farm in Dobrich.
Four years later, this new project is more than three times larger and uses n-type TOPCon modules rated at 570 W each, compared with 450 W in 2022. It shows how far module technology has come in just a few years.

For this project, the decision came down to one figure: the electricity bill. A 400 kW solar installation produces power on site during the day, and every kilowatt-hour used directly is one less kilowatt-hour bought from the grid. At this scale, the savings add up quickly over a year.
Solar power also has no fuel cost. Once the system is installed, it keeps producing for decades, which turns part of an unpredictable expense into a known investment. The owner gains visibility on energy costs and is less exposed to the price swings seen on European electricity markets in recent years.
Getting those savings over the long term takes more than installing panels. With more than 3 GW of installed capacity worldwide and over 120 distributors in more than 75 countries, Eco Green Energy knows what makes a solar project pay off: high-power modules that hold their output, consistent production quality and reliable partners on the ground. Our modules are developed by our R&D team in France, and our range also covers energy storage, so the installation can later be paired with a battery to store daytime surplus and use it after sunset.
Challenge
At 400 kW, every design choice has an impact on the final yield. Project owners want to produce as much energy as possible from the available area, keep installation costs under control and rely on modules that hold their performance for 25 to 30 years.
Electricity prices in Europe have also become harder to predict in recent years. For many businesses, producing their own power has become a way to bring stability back into their budgets.
Our Solution
Eco Green Energy supplied its EGE-570W-144N (GM10) TOPCon modules for the installation:

Large-format, high-power modules reduce the number of panels needed for a given capacity. On a 400 kW system, that means fewer mounting points, fewer connections and less time spent on site.
TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is an n-type cell technology. A very thin oxide layer on the rear of the cell reduces energy losses and raises efficiency. N-type cells are also less sensitive to light-induced degradation than conventional p-type cells and lose less output in high temperatures. For the owner, that means steadier production year after year.
Eco Green Energy does not outsource production. Our modules are manufactured in our own factory in Nantong, China, and quality control includes EL and performance testing. This direct control over production allows us to support our partners with consistent quality, from small rooftops to multi-megawatt plants.
This 400 kW installation adds a new reference to our track record in Bulgaria and confirms the place of TOPCon technology in solar projects across the region. Eco Green Energy supports installers and EPCs in Bulgaria and throughout the Balkans with PV modules and energy storage solutions.
From 120 kW in Dobrich to 400 kW today, our story in Bulgaria keeps growing.
