In 2024, Eco Green Energy partnered with Sadeesa to support a transformative agricultural project in Escuintla, Guatemala. This 79kW solar power system utilized 180 of our high-efficiency Atlas 550W PV modules. It is designed to meet the growing energy needs of local agricultural operations. The installation marks a significant step forward in reducing the environmental impact of farming activities while ensuring a sustainable energy supply.

Challenge

The primary challenge faced by this project was the high cost of electricity that significantly impacted the profitability of agricultural operations. Traditional energy sources were not only expensive but also unreliable, which created further obstacles in maintaining consistent productivity. Additionally, there was a pressing need to recover the initial investment quickly to justify the transition to solar power. With limited financial resources, the goal was to achieve a substantial reduction in electricity costs while ensuring that the investment would pay off within a short timeframe.

Our Solution

Eco Green Energy provided 180 Atlas 550W PV modules to power the 79kW system, delivering a robust and reliable energy solution tailored to the needs of agricultural operations in Escuintla. This solar power system now supplies consistent and clean energy, reducing electricity costs by an impressive 90%.

The strategic implementation of high-efficiency panels ensures that the investment will be recouped within just three years, offering a rapid return and paving the way for sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
