Solar Power Installation at Celaya Hospital, Mexico

Commercial & Industrial

EGE is proud to announce the successful completion of a cutting-edge solar power installation at a local hospital in Celaya, Mexico. This project represents a significant step in our mission to bring sustainable energy solutions to critical infrastructure worldwide. With a total capacity of 270 kW, powered by Atlas 550W solar panels, this installation will provide reliable, clean energy to support the hospital’s operations, reducing its carbon footprint and operational costs.

The project was commissioned by Power Electrical Sale Corporation, S.A. de C.V. (PESCO), a leading provider of innovative electrical solutions in Mexico. Together, we have successfully implemented a robust solar power system that is both efficient and resilient, ensuring long-term benefits for the hospital and the surrounding community.

Challenge

One of the primary challenges faced during this project was the need to ensure the solar power system could withstand the harsh environmental conditions typical of the region. Celaya is known for its variable weather patterns, including high winds and intense sunlight, which can impact the durability and efficiency of solar installations. Additionally, the project required careful planning and execution to integrate the solar panels seamlessly with the existing hospital infrastructure without disrupting its critical operations.

Another significant challenge was coordinating the installation within a functioning healthcare environment. Hospitals operate around the clock, and any disruption to power could have serious consequences for patient care. This necessitated meticulous planning to ensure the installation process was both swift and non-intrusive, maintaining the hospital’s operational integrity throughout the project timeline.

Our Solution

To address the environmental challenges, EGE selected Atlas 550W solar panels, known for their high efficiency and durability. These panels are specifically designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 160 km/h, making them ideal for the conditions in Celaya. Their advanced technology ensures maximum energy output even under less-than-optimal weather conditions, providing consistent power generation year-round.

The team scheduled work during off-peak hours and implemented temporary power solutions to ensure the hospital remained fully functional throughout the installation process. This approach not only safeguarded patient care but also allowed the project to be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Through collaboration and innovative problem-solving, EGE and PESCO successfully delivered a state-of-the-art solar power system that meets the high standards required by healthcare facilities. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to providing sustainable, reliable energy solutions that enhance the operational efficiency of critical infrastructure.
